I have been very honoured to have worked with exceptional emerging scholars over the past decade as their postdoctoral “supervisor” – although none of them has required much “supervising” and the learning has been reciprocal!  These opportunities have produced strong friendships and ongoing research and writing relationships.

Co-supervisor with Dr. Steven Bocking, Trent University.  Dr. Heidt is currently the manager of research at the Centre on Foreign Policy and Federalism and is heading The Confederation Debates initiative [] committed to digitizing Canada’s “founding” debates in time for Canada’s 150th anniversary celebrations next year.

Peter Kikkert (Ph.D., Western), SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship, 2015-17. Co-supervisor with Dr. Heather Nicol, Trent University.   Dr. Kikkert is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences at Sheridan College in Toronto, Ontario.
